The top quality products they sell are only outdone by the service they have!

Keith in New Hampshire
Shopped for an electric bike kit for 2+ years. Wanted quality first, with the most power for my buck. E-Bike Kit was the choice after reading many reviews and searching countless websites. I purchased the direct drive rear wheel. 400 miles on it so far and it has performed excellent. Smooth, silent and powerful. When I purchased this product I also didn't realize that the quality of personal service that I would be getting would be top notch. The sales personnel are incredible. You want answers to any questions- It's immediate, courteous and knowledgeable. The top quality products they sell are only outdone by the service they have!
You guys are AWESOME!!

I have always loved riding my bicycle recreationally, around town and while camping. Diagnosed with MS years ago, I have had to slow down considerably the past few years and have really missed getting out and about on my Trek.
A few months ago my husband suggested for our anniversary to electrifying my bike with a kit. Instantly I started researching on-line, basing criteria on reputation of the product, workmanship, ease of installation,, support and of course, price. It didn’t take me long to find E-Bike Kit, and my husband agreed EBK looked to be the best. The price was right, delivery was quick (even though we screwed up on the order, LOL) and support has been great! My husband especially loved the instructional videos and later, the fast response for help when he got stuck.
We ordered the SLA battery which is a bit heavier than the LiFePO4, and I was a bit worried about the weight. But with several suggestions from on-line reviewers, we purchased the heavy duty double kick-stand which steadies the bike so I can get on and off without having to hold up the bike. Then, with the three speed switch on high and a slight tilt forward of my body, when I push the thumb throttle I’m off and the stand folds back!
I still pedal around slow corners, or when I feel like it, but the motor has taken the place of my legs and replaced my diminished strength with extra power! My husband promised I would feel the wind in my hair again, and with my new e-bike that promise has been realized! Many thanks to the staff at E-BikeKit for their help and for making the “wind in my hair” possible again!
Special note - I think my husband did a great job of securing the wiring, installing the controller and finding an easy fix for “weatherizing” the electrical plugs (an old inner tube secured with tie-wraps!)
E-BikeKit Had Exactly What I Needed

Joe Eckhout of Virginia Beach, VA
Recently I decided to convert my bike to an e-bike for my commute to work and errands around town. I did some research on available kits and decided e-bikekit.com had exactly what I needed. I chose e-bikekits.com for their warranty, hand built wheels, and very good step by step instructions and videos on their web site. The online videos where especially helpful as I am new to both working on my bike and e-bikes. I did have a few questions and the staff at e-bikekits.com was quick, patient, and friendly with me. I’m very happy with my e-bike conversion. My e-bike is fun to ride, a great way to save money, get a little extra exercise and was a blast to put together. My e-bike is a 2003 Schwinn Voyageur with an e-bikekit.com rear wheel motor, LiFePO4 36v 10 Ah prismatic battery, thumb throttle, and cycle analyst. My commute to and from work is a total of about 18 miles and I use just over half my battery and my top speed is just about 20 mph with minimal pedaling.

I live a terrain with gentle hills and strong winds. Over the last couple of years those winds had become such a challenge that, while I loved my bike, I had grown to really hate all that tedious pedaling headfirst into a gale and getting nowhere. Enter the E-bike. Now everything's different -- honest! With the E-bike, I can push straight into the wind, hills or no, and still enjoy the ride. The misery is gone, but the biking experience is still there. Bottom line, I don't want to EVER be without this thing!"

Why I ride my eBikekit.com bike to work...

Ambrose
Washington, DC
Tidalforce S-750 bike

Living in an urban area makes commuting either wonderful or horrible. Mine is horrible. I work in Washington, DC and my normal commute takes me 45 minutes to an hour. That doesn't sound too bad except that I live only 8 miles from my office.
My former commute was to wait for and take a bus to the subway station and then wait for and take the subway close to my office. I am at the whim of my local public transit system. I cannot tell you how many times I've either missed my bus because it was either early or late or there are problems on the subway that add needless time to my daily commute. I dreaded making the daily grind and looked for ways to improve my commute as well as my health.
I had always wanted to use a personal electric vehicle to get to work. They seemed to be ideal for urban transportation. I had tried just about every form before I realized that an electric bike is the ideal choice. With the installation of the e-bikekit.com system on my bike:
* My commute time is now 30 minutes since I can make my own schedule and not wait for the bus.
* Because of the e-bikekit.com motor, I am not drenched in sweat when I get to work. I'm just warmed up.
* My commuting costs have now gone to near $0 compared to $2,000 out-of-pocket annually. The ebike will more than pay for itself in very short order.
* Charging the battery costs mere pennies a day so my annual costs are $25 to $30 in increased electric bills.
* I get great exercise. My commute is mostly downhill on the way in so I can get in very quickly and I can get as much or as little exercise on the way home as I choose. (Faster is more fun!)
* I don't need that morning cup of coffee to be completely invigorated when I get to work.
* I'm not contributing to global warming by emitting green house gas that a car would.
* I can be home in less time in the middle of the day since I have my own vehicle waiting for me instead of trying to catch the subway trains and buses which run less frequently during non-rush hours.
* I don't have car/gas/parking/frustration costs which are significant for any urban city.
I hope you understand why I commute by ebike. The fun factor and the exercise are improving my health and mental well being. I get to take lunch bike breaks and enjoy the monuments around town. I get to spend more time with my family and I'm getting healthier the more I commute! What could be better?
Why I chose the eBikekit.com system
I've looked at just about every electric bike company out there and in my opinion, eBikekit's system is the most economical and dependable system available on the market right now.
* The motor is very well made
* The wheels are double walled and of high quality
* The spokes are heavy duty
* The controller is very well made and compact
* The brakes have a safety override
* You have a choice of throttles
* You have a choice of batteries
* It comes with a heavy-duty torque arm for safety
* The instructions are clear and assembly is easy
* There is a tremendous sense of accomplishment when you can point to the finished bike and say, "I put that together."
The final and most important reason for getting the ebikekit system is the fantastic customer service. I cannot tell you how great it is to be able to pick up the phone or email the owner directly. He is committed to making ebiking a viable commuting option for more people who have very little reason to drive.
"You will not find better customer service than what e-bikekit.com provides and that, as they say, is priceless."
I sent a couple more pics...If this keeps up, I'm gonna need another E-BikeKit shirt, lol We rode almost 37 miles today and the kit is working FANTASTIC !!! Thanks Again!

The Burning Man Project - Black Rock Desert in Northern Nevada
Fernando Barrozo
After attending Burning Man in 2007 and 2008 with a regular bike and seeing a couple of people, including someone at my camp, who had motorized bikes, I decided I had to get one myself.
One person had a gas powered engine, but those were extremely loud, which was concern. After an extensive online search I discovered electric bikes. After visiting several sites, I came across E-BikeKit.com. I e-mailed them, and Jason replied in less than an hour. I almost felt bad because of the amount of questions I had, but Jason replied to every e-mail I sent him and answered all the questions I had. The customer service I received was incredible.
This year at Burning Man, there was not an instance when I hesitated to go anywhere because it was too far. With my new e-bike, I would just jump on, twist the throttle and off I went. I was able to see and do so much more this year. I got to enjoy riding all over the playa, and had the opportunity to view some art installations that I would not have seen otherwise. Even when the terrain was bumpy and sandy, I had no problem riding right through it.
The LiFePO4 battery is awesome. Not once did my battery run out during the 7 days I was there. While at Burning Man, when I plugged in the battery, it never took more than 2 hours to fully recharge, which means I never even used half the charge. I was a bit concerned that someone might steal it, but the sliding plate and locking features are secure.
Another aspect of taking it to Burning Man that concerned me was the dust. Dust gets everywhere out there in the desert, and I mean EVERYWHERE. So, taking my brand new E-Bike Kit bike there was a bit scary. But, after all the dust storms, everything still works wonderfully.
A lot of people stopped me after seeing me cruising around at a nice speed. I let a bunch of people take it for a spin and everyone loved it. Whatever your reason for buying an e-bike may be, I would 100% recommend an E-Bike Kit. These guys are great and their product is even better.
I've been commuting on my completed eBikeKit project for a couple of months now, and am delighted with both the product and the overall experience I've had eBikeKit.
After researching for about a year I settled on eBikeKit over a nearest competitor offering a complete and quality-focused 9 continents-based package, deciding between the two mainly on a good experience getting pre-sales information from Jason on the phone, and hoping that would translate into ongoing project support. Boy did it ever! The eBikeKit crew were available during every stage of installation, both to answer questions and to deal with the inevitable issues that come up in a mechanical/electrical project. No installation can be cookie-cutter, and their quick answers, deep experience and outstanding support made it possible for me to resolve issues smoothly as they came up. When there were problems -- and there are always a few -- eBikeKit was there for me, working with me to get things moving forward.
I paid a bit of a premium on the battery side based on the excellent reviews the eBikeKit battery received in online forums, and that too has proved well worth it. My commute's a little over a fairly flat 10 miles each way, and so far I've been making it consistently on a single charge.
The quality of the components is high, and the quality of service excellent. These folks deliver a great product and stand behind it, and I can't say enough good things.

I would like to state how happy and pleased I am with the purchase of my E-Bike kit Life PO 4 lithium 36 volt battery from E-Bikekit.com.
After almost three years of use, my original equipment NiCad battery for my Giant Electric bike started to fail rapidly. When I discovered that a replacement battery from Giant was going to cost $530, I realized that I would have to go without it and orient my biking to shorter trips as I am visually impaired and this is my basic mode of transportation. One day while surfing the web, I discovered E-BikeKit and then studied their products to see if there was an alternative to my situation. Many back and forth extremely congenial and informative conversations with Jason led to me purchasing their 36 volt lithium replacement. It took me a long time to actually make the decision to purchase as I was skeptical and fearful that this battery would function properly with the sophisticated electronics of my bike and that I had the capability of mounting it and adjusting the wiring harness to what was required for my bike. The overall cost savings with this purchase was more than $200 which made that part of the decision a no brainer. The battery and the other associated accessories arrived exactly when Jason indicated they would. Now, I did the best I could in mounting and wiring the battery to my bike but failed to make a real good and solid contact with my make shift connectors to the bike terminals which led me to believe the battery would not work for me. It was a weekend when I emailed Jason about my problem and he turned me over to his engineer, Gaston, who emailed me back and forth all weekend long telling me what to question, assuring me that this battery had to work, and attaching pictures of connectors and terminals I should think about buying at a home improvement store. He did a lot of research about my bike before letting me know that this battery would work and that my original connection was the problem. It turned out that he was absolutely correct as when I started from scratch with re-wiring, that is when the battery began to work properly.
I now believe that this battery is better than the original when the original was new. It has more power, I ride faster because I am using higher gears now that I never did before, and I go a lot farther. I also fully enjoy the fact that I can charge this battery at any time where the original NiCad had to be totally drained which took a great deal of trip and charge planning. Just recently, I had a question about the charger getting too hot and when I emailed Gaston about it on a weekend, again, I received an immediate answer indicating that this is normal with an appropriate explanation. I am totally thrilled with this product, the company, and the immediate service and response to each detail by Jason and Gaston. This is one decision I made that turned out to be a fantastic positive.

Here's the bike.

After researching electric kits I decided to go with E-BikeKit. It's all about the battery and battery management system for any electric vehicle. E-BikeKit's stuff looked like they had the right answer. My 15 year old Caloi Expert got a tune up at the local Bike Shop and then the E-Bike makeover. It's a good alloy bike with a strong steel front fork. I did a little metal fabbing to customize the anti-rotation hardware keeping it more "natural" looking.
With a 24 mile commute I was skeptical about riding a bike to work. I like to ride but the distance meant these old bones would have to push it to an average of 16 MPH to meet my time criteria. With the addition of the E-BikeKit both the old Caloi and the old legs got a new breath of life. I make the 12 mile one way trip in about 45 minutes in the "Hybrid" (legs and battery) mode. That's a normal car commute time when school is in session.
Now I'm thinking about a Bent Trike and perhaps a cart for groceries for the Caloi. People can whine about electric cars all they want, I have an electric vehicle that gets me exercise and keeps the ride to work all downhill both ways. It really boosts the kid factor too. Thanks again for all your help.

I just took my bike out at 5 this morning, and it took about 45 minutes to get to a town about 15 miles away.
I brought both batteries just to be sure I could return with the same lack of difficulty. Riding that thing is a BLAST AND A HALF! all my friends at the coffeehouse were drooling. The batteries seem effortless to recharge (not that I would expect anything less), and the bike rides so easily, even my wheezy butt gets up those hills with ease. It was the best light workout I have had in months or even years, and I plan to continue, and soon I will post some photos and a video or two. Thank you so much! BOTH you and Zac offer the best service, info, and I truly found my contact with you both to be inspiring. Life is so good with LiFePo4. So thanks again!

Hi, I just recent purchased the e-bike kit, and it has completely rocked my world, Thank you much!
I can’t explain how much fun it is, and I’m saving tons of money on gas. I’ve already put 120 miles on my bike this week. So thanks again! Josh B, Ames IA
Finally finished installing my kit and battery and have one week of using it for my work commute of 6 miles. Works flawlessly and I Love the way it works silently.
I have enclosed pictures of the bike and the custom torque arm with wire guard I made out of 3/16 inch plate. The bag holds the cables and connectors to keep them clean and dry. I am still conditioning the batteries so I have not tried for longer trips. So far a charge takes me about an hour for the 6 mile commute so the range should easily be within your stated range. Feel free to use the attached document and pictures if you like. See attached for official testimonial..
I thought my bicycling days were over after I broke my leg in a motorcycle accident. I was looking for an electric assist kit to help me and found the E-bikekit.com website. After talking to Jason at E-BikeKit about my options I got a basic kit and LiFePO4 battery pack. Jason was very helpful and had my kit to me within one week. The battery took about two days longer. Install was easy due to the videos on line. I put the kit on my Shasta mountain bike with an Xtracycle kit so I could use the bike for groceries and commuting to work. The kit performs great and I can park the bike in my office since it is electric. I tried a gas bike kit before but I found it was very noisy and I had problems with parking due to smell and gasoline danger. The bike kit is so quiet I had to get a bell to warn people on the bike path I use for commuting. Now since I pedal in addition to using the kit when my leg gives out I find my injury getting better. If you need a great kit at a good price and want to get great customer service also you can’t go wrong with E-BikeKit.com Thanks for your help. James Hinnant July 2009

E-BikeKit, I almost purchased 2 (A2B) bikes at $2,500.00 each, until I ran across your website. The 2 Lithium kits cost much less than just one (A2B) bike!
The 2 E-Bike kits we purchased for my wife & myself were delivered quickly as promised. With the great response for questions when I called your number, as well as the low competitive price, helped make the sale for me. The on-line videos helped answer any assembly questions. I was amazed of the quiet powerful assist the motor has when used. It makes riding a bike a real breeze on long distance rides. The Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries work flawlessly. Wish I would had one of these kits on my bike years ago! I used 2 older Schwinn Sidewinder mountain bikes we had bought our kids years ago, that were rusting in the backyard. Now they have a 2nd life. Great product! Attached is 2 pictures of our bikes. Thanks - Chuck L
I'd like to thank E-bikekit.com for excellent service!
My order was shipped promptly and arrived in great condition. It was easy to install and works exactly as advertised. These are high quality kits at a good price. I will recommend anyone interested in ebikes to call you first. Thanks again! Dave.

I wanted to share this with you. I sent out this email this morning to my friends who have been watching my progress:
“I know that you all have been waiting to hear how my electric bike kit is progressing. I had my first ride last night and it was AWESOME! I know I get geeked-out about technology but this is way too cool. I will bring in pictures and my bike when I come back in next Monday."
I think what really made this experience so unique for me was not so much the product but the customer support. Don’t get me wrong, the product is awesome but the personal support I received was outstanding. I made an error in installation and as a result the motor didn't work. After firing off a less than friendly email (my bad), I received a prompt call back from the companies owner! Even though I over reacted, he wanted to personally make sure I was taken care of and that my problem was resolved. It was outstanding service. He takes his product and his customers very seriously.
My bike is up and running and I will let you know when I have it here next week so you can check it out. This is a great way to balance fitness with the commute, save money and be green. Al Gore should be sending these guys an award! Anyway check them out at e-bikekit.com.
See ya on the road!" Marc, Marc, Maple Valley, WA
I started shopping around to see what it would cost to buy an electric bike and was turned off by the high expense.
I also realized that yet another bike would result in storage problems as well as mean less time on one of my other bikes. Then it hit me that maybe I could turn my amazing commuter bike (a Breezer Uptown 8 that has everything any commuter would need) electric. After lots of online comparing and lots of email questions to different kit sellers, it became clear that E-Bike had the best and most complete, modern package at the best price.
I have to say that even though I had already bought the kit, what really ended up selling it (in retrospect) was the customer service. They answered all of my (copious) emails and phone calls. They gave me great advice about powering my lights using the battery. They helped me rig up a torque arm when my bike needed something special. Their generosity and helpfulness went beyond all this when I had some trouble making some things work with my bike (I’ll spare the details, but they couldn’t have been more helpful). It’s clear that electric bicycles are their passion and they know their stuff.
With my lights, Wald folding baskets and a removable trailer, I can use the Breezer for just about any task I have around town. I can’t wait to watch my car collect pollen and dust as it sits in the driveway. If you’re serious about converting your bike, this is the kit to buy; these are the guys to deal with. Trevor, Providence, RI
I purchased a 36 V 500W conversion kit from ebikekit.com to upgrade my wife's old hard tail Diamond Back mountain bike to an electric bike. The system was easy to install. The upgraded web site has online instructions to include a nice series of installation videos.
Customer service was outstanding; my questions were promptly responded to by email or voicemail.
The three 12 V SLA batteries add too much weight to the bike, so I would recommend paying the additional money for a new LiFeLiPO4 battery system.
My ex-MB is now a commuter e-bike to and from work. With pedal assistance, I get a great workout. I love to race roadies on the uphill climbs! Paul from Santa Barbara, CA
